Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to QRkode. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the QRkode website, dashboard, and dynamic QR code and scan analytics services (the “Service”), operated by QRkode (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service helps businesses, weddings, and events create QR codes whose destination can be updated at any time, and measure how those codes are scanned. These Terms apply to everyone who uses QRkode, whether on the free plan or a paid plan.

Your account

To use most features you need an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and let us know promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

  • You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
  • One person or organization is responsible for each account and its billing.
  • You may not share access in a way that circumvents plan limits or team seats.

Acceptable use

QRkode is built for legitimate use. You agree not to use the Service, or point a QR code at a destination, that does any of the following:

  • Breaks any applicable law or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Distributes malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
  • Hosts phishing pages, scams, or deceptive content designed to steal information.
  • Harasses, abuses, defames, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Attempts to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.

We may suspend or remove any code or account that we reasonably believe violates these rules, with or without notice where the situation requires it.

These rules also apply to codes made with our free no-signup generator. To enforce them, we keep a copy of the content encoded in free-generator downloads for up to 90 days and may review it for abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Plans & billing

Every account includes a free plan with no credit card required. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time for more codes, longer analytics history, and custom branding — nothing is charged automatically until you do.

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor.
  • You can cancel anytime from your billing page; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods.

If a payment fails, we may pause access to paid features until billing is resolved. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice, and any change takes effect at your next renewal.

Your content & codes

You retain ownership of the destinations, designs, and content associated with your QR codes. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, generate, render, and serve your codes and to operate the Service. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to use any content you point your codes to.

Service availability & changes

We work hard to keep QRkode reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, add, or remove features over time, and we may perform maintenance that briefly interrupts availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QRkode and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be handled by the Norwegian courts. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

Language

These Terms are published in several languages for your convenience. The English version is the authoritative text; if a translation differs from it in meaning, the English version prevails.
